Step Two on Buying a House or Condo in Calgary

Welcome back to the RE Inisder Blog here on kelleyskar.com! I hope you are liking it here....

I am in the process of writing a series of posts to help guide you through the process of purchasing a home, whether it is your first or fifth.

Here is a link to the first post I wrote entitled Buying a Home for the First Time - Let's get Started In this article I am talking about some of the expenses that you can expect and things to consider when making a purchase

Now...Onto Step Two

You've figured out what your monthly expenses are going to be right? You know how much you make in a month and so naturally you know what you can afford.

The mistake I see a lot of people making is not getting a pre-approval from a bank or mortgage broker BEFORE they head out and look at properties.

Why is this a mistake? Well like I said, YOU know what you can afford, is the Bank going to agree with you? There would be nothing worse than getting your heart set on a property, going through the motions of making the offer, inspections, and then having to wait on that approval just to get turned down because the bank says you can't afford it.

So...in case you missed it, Step Two is Securing a Pre-Approval from a Lender.
