Episode #108 - Calgary Real Estate - The Three C's of Blogging

Recently I spoke at the Banff Western Connection Conference on the benefits of blogging and video blogging for REALTORS®.

Part of the presentation focused on what I call the Three C's of blogging and video blogging, namely Commitment, Content and Consistency.

Committing to doing a blog should be a part of your business plan; it should be something that you are going to do for an entire year. Committing for only a month or two or six is not going to work, make sure that if you start that you are going to blog for a full calendar year.

Content creation is the biggest part of blogging, they say that "Content is King" and I honestly believe this. If you follow Darin Persinger like I do, take part of what he says to heart about blogging and that is to blog or video blog for your sphere. Put out relevant current information for the public at large as well as your sphere, doing this will quickly establish you as a local community expert.

Consistency is important as well, you need to commit to once a week, or every day, or once every couple of weeks, whatever you decide make sure that you have a plan and a list of topics you want to cover.

I prefer the video blog myself and the reason for this is because it is a great medium for people to get to know you BEFORE you go to their home.

Remember the three C's before you get started, Commitment, Content and Consistency and you will be successful.
