Didn't catch it again this year??
Kind of sad for you....really I am! A conference of this caliber right in your own backyard and you didn't make it out...AGAIN!
Or maybe you were from Eastern Canada and you weren't able to make it? I know a lot, and met a lot of people that did make it...too bad for you, they got all your referrals and are going to be that much further ahead when they implement a ton of ideas into their biz in 2013!
Oh...got your attention now? Ok then...here are the things we talked about:
- Professionalism
- Paperless
- Branding
- The Economy
- Sales Strategy
- Video Marketing
- Social Selling
....just to name a few. Even if you didn't attend the sessions there were a TON of really smart people at this event that you could have learned a lot from in the LobbyCon. Those that frequent these types of events understand the importance of LobbyCon....Learning and sharing ideas with your peers in a personal more attentive way.
Sharing is Learning. Learning is Sharing
Like that? I just came up with it on the spot but you know what...I think it nails the Banff Western Connection to a 'T'!!
I spoke on three different topics this year, I was very fortunate to have been able to share with my peers what I have learned over the past 5+ years. I certainly hope they got something out of it cause I know I did.
The first session was a ReBarCamp...the first one ever at the Western Connection and it was AWESOME! My session was on Paperless in Real Estate but it took on a life of its own and we had a stellar discussion about what being paperless means and how it will affect our business.
This was by far my favorite session because there was SO much input from people that were WAY smarter than me! Did I learn from being on that stage...I wouldn't be writing this if I didn't.
Here is my point...Being able to share ideas with like minded people and not being afraid of the implications it might have on your business (good or bad) is the most amazing experience you will have at conference.
You have to realize that you DON'T KNOW IT ALL! Once you come to that realization and allow yourself to listen to others you just might be able to get something from the conversation that will be useful in your business.
If anything...put the Banff Western Connection on your MUST attend Conference in 2015! I will be there. Will You?
